The ICSA community is striving to "embrace an ever-changing world" by establishing a vibrant community of learners who share a common belief, the provision of a quality education for all its students. Our mission is to educate independent, critical thinking, compassionate, and responsible individuals for a purposeful life as global citizens.

ICSA is an independent, coeducational day school offering an American based educational program for students in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve. Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Cote d'Ivoire, ICSA is accredited by the Middle States Association and the Council of International Schools. Established in 1972 to serve the expatriate community in Abidjan, we welcome qualified students of all nationalities and backgrounds.

At ICSA we seek to provide our students with the skills, experiences and habits of mind to become productive, contributing members of the global village. This goal is achieved through the written and hidden curriculum, and the co-curricular and extra-curricular programs we offer. We are extremely proud about the recent growth and development of our school. That development has been made possible through a qualified and dedicated faculty and staff, a supportive Board of Directors, and involved and committed parents. A close partnership exists between all stakeholders of the school, and this partnership is one of ICSA's greatest assets.
